The urge to break free and do something unexpected is the driving mood today. Meanwhile, we continue the confusion of Mercury square Neptune. Safe escapes that are grounded in reality and earthy Taurus energy would help wade through this fog. Hiking, gardening, art, and music can help.

Be wary of dogmatic people that want to pick a fight about issues that aren’t even true in the first place. Discussions or disagreements about religion are possible. Realize things aren’t clear right now.

Mercury is being burned up by the sun in a combustion. This happens when a planet is too close to the sun and essentially “burns up.” Mercury, the planet of communication, feels fried and ineffective.

Although this day holds the potential to fly away into happy land with a giant kite formation in the day’s astrological chart, the Moon sets the stage today, as it makes its entrance into Scorpio at 4:56am. It’s time to bring out those deeply buried emotional issues. Relationship and family matters are ready for a knock-out transformation today.

With the grand trine this morning with the Moon, Sun and Saturn, it’s time to rehash, work through, and emotionally bring to light whatever issues have been waiting to be released since eclipse season in June. Trine energy helps things flow in a good way.

At 11:32am, we get an assist from the Moon trine to Mercury. Clear connection and real communications show things you weren’t able to see before.

The facade is crumbling, and people are beginning to question their belief systems. Neptune is slowing down for its retrograde motion on Friday June 30th. When the Moon in Scorpio meets the South Node and opposes Jupiter tonight at 9:29pm, the illusion begins to chip away. Saturn trine the Sun sharpens the screen. This can be good if you like reality. Today, continue to focus on the gifts Saturn retrograde is bringing. I know, that sounds weird if you fear Saturn. But truly, with all the positive aspects Saturn is making to the Sun, Mercury, Moon and Jupiter, remind yourself that Saturn is the planet that rewards good karma. Don’t be lazy. Hard work is where you will find your treasure.

Another reason to stay on task is to avoid the drama as people fall apart over the narrative crumbling away. Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn has been showing what was really behind the mask all along. Saturn retrograde is serving up just desserts. Now, Neptune is about to enter retrograde to show the transparency we’ve been needing. When Pluto makes a quintile to the moon at 1:14pm, that’s when you need to continue to keep your head in the forward game, or, stop and show yourself and others some compassion. We’ve all been tricked by the devil before. Be thankful for the lesson and move onto better things. Don’t cause agony and self-harm. Be grateful for fresh starts.

Take in the boost of creativity and inspiration from the Moon trine to Neptune before Neptune enters its retrograde.

The moon in Sagittarius helps us feel even more optimistic, and lights a fire of curious exploration of this new world.

Maybe, with today’s aspects, people will begin to see the future as a positive place with much potential.

Today could be the best day of the entire 4th of July weekend to have that Family Reunion. If you don’t have a BBQ to go to, talking with neighbors, siblings and people in town could feature.

The Moon Quincunx Uranus at 11:48am could bring some fun, unexpected people into the circle. Enjoy meeting new people, learning new hobbies, and checking out some unique local culture.

Fourth of July Weekend…

Most of this weekend looks to have a happy vibe with ample opportunity to get away from it all and enjoy some good times.

- Be wary of the Moon Square Neptune on Sunday July 2nd. Don’t over do it on the alcohol. Party safe.

- The Capricorn Moon on Monday July 3rd opposes the Sun and Mercury in Cancer. Keep those emotionally charged and judgmental comments to yourself!
