Today’s Forecast: Discernment and Caution with Food and Drink
Pay attention to the world around you today. We are two days ahead of the Sun in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces, which is in retrograde. Neptune is the planet of illusion and deception. It can also be the planet of spirituality, on it’s higher octave. However, Neptune represents con artists. If it sounds too good to be true, it likely is. Don’t be swayed.
One example I saw was the major fast food companies are offering cheeseburgers for pennies in celebration of National Cheeseburger Day today. Well, today is the 17th, with Neptune coming closer to opposing the Sun. It makes me wonder, “What is really in the burger, that makes it so inexpensive?” You get what you pay for. Especially considering the Lunar Nodes are aspected by the Moon today, making the toxic effects of food and drink stronger.
Moon in quincunx to Uranus further destabilizes our ability to make sound decisions. Mood and food are disrupted. Avoid tension and dive into creativity, instead.
This afternoon at 3:18pm EST, pay attention to what you feel internally, and what you see globally. The Lunar Nodes shift to direct motion. Usually, the nodes travel backwards. When they shift direct, once a month, time feels like it is slowing down. Watch for newsworthy events.
At the same time the nodes shift direction, the Moon in Libra joins the transit South Node in Libra. Emotionally come to terms with what has come to pass. Watch for karmic debts to be paid, or given. Women may show up as a positive or negative karmic influence.
As I mentioned above, your body may hold onto toxins today, especially concerning toxins to the kidneys, resulting in vision issues.
The Moon aspecting the nodes reminds us to nurture ourselves. Re-assess your progress in your nodal journey. Rest.

At dinner time, the Moon makes a quincunx to Neptune at 5:48pm. Again, another confusing influence for mood and food. There is deception in the air and confusion with our emotions. The theme of being poisoned—by toxic people, food and drink, pervades. Use the critical eye and dietetic insight of Sun and Mercury in Virgo to strengthen your resolve. Avoid the “too good to be true” escape hatch.
High alert tonight if you suffer from addiction: these Neptune aspects meet up with the Moon Pluto square for an intense struggle. Transform the pain into power. Work through deep issues. Play it safe.
Near midnight, the Moon enters Scorpio. Digging through these deep problems continue.
