Hopefully everyone had a decent Saturday, and stayed out of conflict. If there were issues, this morning is a time to talk things out, when the Moon in Leo is in a sextile to Mercury in Libra. This positive aspect enhances memory, so studying is favored. Connect with neighbors and family through light conversations.
At 9:16am, the Sun enters via Combusta, or the “burning way.” This happens from 15 degrees Libra through 15 degrees of Scorpio. The reason for this negative connotation to these degrees is the number of malefic fixed stars along this path. A difficult road ahead, especially considering the conflicts we see in the world. In your own life, be aware of a heightened intuition around your path and purpose. What are you being called to do?
Mars Square Pluto is exact at 9:05pm this evening. We have seen how the buildup to this transit exploded into war. Seeing it hit exact could bring a sense of relief. The big moment has hit. Until 9:05pm tonight, we may continue to see intense battles for control. This is the height of conflict, and will determine how things are handled in the weeks ahead.
Shortly after this exact square, Venus enters Virgo—it’s fall position. If you are still confused about how someone feels about you, Venus in Virgo isn’t the most expressive sign. Their love language is acts of service. If your partner cooked you a meal or mowed the lawn, even after a big fight, you likely still have a mate. Just don’t expect them to wine and dine you. A fitting Venus for wartime—it’s time to roll up your sleeves and be realistic in how a love relationship can exist among life’s struggles. It’s not all roses and cupcakes, but it can be reliable and healthy.
Venus will pass over fixed star Regulus today, at 29°50’ of Leo. (Unless you are in the camp that Regulus is now in Virgo, after a very long and slow movement, making this fixed star not exactly “fixed.”).
I can’t help but think that the King Maker, Regulus, waited all year for Venus to reach him with gifts of wealth and jewels. Sadly, Venus went retrograde just before meeting up with him, right before this degree. So, all of the royal kings vying for power had an entire Venus retrograde cycle to work on how they would capture the spoils of war—Venus. How these leaders spent their summer determines how this Venus—full of potential energy, now direct and out of shadow, will bestow either gifts or hardships on these powerful people of our time.
I wrote an article a few moths ago about Venus leaving her shadow, and then reaching fixed star Regulus, right before Pluto goes direct this week. All the big players in today’s news cycle have this royal star in their natal chart hitting a major planet. You can read about it HERE.

The Leo Moon squares Jupiter at 10:56pmEST, 7:56pmPST. A high potential for an evening snack rolls in. This is a positive aspect, if you remember the one rule of Jupiter—don’t over do it. The desire to overeat and overspend is strong. Enjoy good times with family. Everyone needs a break in the tension.
Praying together is especially powerful with a Jupiter aspect. Use this time to bring the vibe way up. The world needs more prayers. We are tasked with doing it!
Enjoy the good vibrations of the Sun in Libra in a Sextile to the Moon in Libra at 3:08am, while we sleep. This may charge us up for a stronger inner drive.
This week, especially Tuesday, has some difficulty. We will be in a dark Moon phase. Venus will oppose Saturn. Pluto will finally go direct, right over America’s Pluto. This is the third and final pass of Pluto over this degree. With War and the issues in the House of Representatives, I expect big news and power plays leading up to the eclipse on the 14th.
Take some time to center your own life. Eclipses have a way of “changing the subject” and tossing our lives in a different direction. Make sure you have the basics of life running as well as possible leading up to the 14th. Just having the laundry done and your office organized can help when the rest of the world is in chaos.
