The rare Cazimi conjunction happens this morning when Venus joins the Sun. A Cazimi occurs when a planet is less than one degree, or 17 minutes, away from the Sun. Usually, a planet sitting close to the sun becomes combust, or burned out, by the sun’s heat. We see this during the dates of August 7 through the 21st with Venus. However, today, at the special point of a Cazimi, Venus is now considered to be “at the Sun’s Throne.” Instead of being burned out, it is charged up by the Sun’s rays.
When Venus reaches this point today, it imbues special gifts. A Venus Cazimi fans the flames of love. Look for intensely Venus moments of beauty in your surroundings, sweet words, lovely music and art that takes you to another place. If you don’t experience it naturally, create something beautiful yourself. It will be blessed with an extra dose of Venusian power.
Take some time today to reflect on what this Venus retrograde cycle has given you so far. Today’s Cazimi brings Venus back to morning star status. This moment begins a new synodic cycle of Venus that takes us to June of 2024. Watch and see where this takes you, as this midpoint of Venus retrograde begins new possibilities.
