Eclipse Makes Impact - Today's Astrology Chart and Forecast
The world is changing, and this eclipse is here to bring those changes, with a “Ring of Fire” New Moon Solar eclipse today at 1:55 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Do you have plans to see the eclipse in the sky where you live?
Early this morning, the Moon makes a conjunction with Mercury in Libra at 4:58am. Sometimes, eclipses bring new information to light. With the Moon’s conjunction to Mercury, it’s possible we already have, or will, hear about relationships, commitments, and break-ups. It is time to let go.
Use the Moon and Mercury conjunction to write down your feelings. At 6:56 a.m., the Moon and Mercury oppose Chiron, deepening our wounds. Noting how an eclipse feels in writing is a special gift to yourself. It helps immediately center and balance emotions, and you can go back over the journal entries at some point in the future to reflect how this eclipse impacted your emotions and day to day life.

At 1:55pm EST, the Moon hits New Moon status as it meets the Sun. Depending on where you are, the sky may darken as the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, exact at 2:00pm.
I always feel a sense of relief once the big buildup finally hits during eclipses and Full Moons. We may feel the effects of this eclipse for 6 months, but the stressful buildup has passed. Now, we deal with the results.
At 4:04pm, we get a chance to adjust to the changes the eclipse is bringing. The Moon makes a quincunx to Uranus. New people and experiences make themselves known. There is an inventive and exciting energy in the air. Breaking free and taking on new beginnings feels possible.
The Lunar Nodes shift into direct motion tonight at 9:11pm, causing a shift in energy. Watch for instabilities.
The Libra Moon, now that it has completed it’s meeting with the Sun, officially says hello to the Lunar Nodes at 9:11pm. Cleanse, release, let go, and start anew. This is a process, and this point in the evening brings us to face the new things coming in. We eliminate what no longer serves us.
Make spiritual sense of this eclipse event when Neptune quincunxes the Moon. It isn’t easy letting things go. We may feel confused with this Neptune aspect. Give it time for things to make sense. Help other’s deal with their pain with a compassionate ear. Release pent-up energy with artful expressions.
At 3:01 p.m. EST/12:00 a.m. PST, the Moon squares Pluto. This square, to me, means the gloves are off. The eclipse moment has hit. The war has begun. What is the next step in this path?
Tomorrow morning, the Moon enters Scorpio at 7:04am, preparing for a meet up with Mars. Thoughts and feelings blend with actions, and now we are driven to forge ahead.
